Fairly large hibiscus, about 5 years old. Has always bloomed each year until now. Lots of nice green leaves. What wrong?

  1. Giving it too much nitrogen based fertilizer and watering it too much..Hibiscus is a tropical plant and genetically is used to being under stress..long periods of no rain etc...it blooms best when under stress..let the plant go completely dry inbetween waterings and do not fertilize with high nitrogen such as all purpose miracle grow
