Real Madrid are confident of keeping midfielder Fernando Gago despite strong interest from Manchester City. The Argentinian had pleaded for a move in order to gain some first team football ahead of the summer’s World Cup, but will now stay and fight Xabi Alonso and Lassana Diarra for a first team place.
