  1. I'm not sure about your particular model of water heater, but I do know that heating systems with mechanical timers can sometimes be a problem after a power outage. If the timer's really old, or has had a hard life, it can seize when it stops, and then when the power goes back on, it doesn't run any more.

If your heater has a mechanical timer on it, try hitting it and see if you can hear it start running again.

  2. there is a reset switch behind the access panel , but it may also be the breaker. Some times after a power outage appliances will overload the breaker trying to catch up.

  3. Do you smell natural gas? If you do, make sure that you open up and ventilate your house VERY WELL before you try to relight that pilot!

  4. Yes there is a reset button on the waster heater usually behind the access panel. Be sure and turn your power off.

  5. Check the reset, check the pilot light and check the fuses or circuit breakers.  I hope its one of the above, so you don't have to call anyone.  Good luck!
