Im a student trying to work out what I want to do when I graduate. I'm doing a joint degree in English Literature and English Language but I dont want to be a teacher and I have not found any other things I find an interest in. I've been trying to get experience in other fields of work besides housekeeping (the only part time job I've managed to get) but no-one seems to want to know. Any ideas?

  1. Hi, I believe I can help you in your situation. Currently I’m a student at The Art Institute of Washington, Part-time I work with a company called CashKrazy. Cashkrazy is a free service which pays members money to complete free surveys and questionnaires. Membership is completely free and Cashkrazy will never ask for your credit card information or for any payment of any kind. Cashkrazy pays its members Via Check and Paypal; also you can request your payment when you feel like. The company gives out a free $5 to all users just for joining. The company offers a very high payout and also rewards members greatly for referring new members to the company. To participate in CashKrazy, you must be an individual at least 13 years of age and reside in the United States of America. Great part-time income!

  2. This isn't a question any one else is going to be able to answer for you. No one knows better than you your likes and dislikes, your strengths and weakness, your education and skills. I am 46 and I still don't know what I want to be when I "grow up" but in the meantime I have a good paying job in a field I like well enough to tolerate working in daily.

Have you considered taking some time off and travelling? Sometimes people can discover new things about themselves when they are freed of the education/work routine and they are then better able to figure out what the want to do with their career.

The other thing you shoudl do is see your academic/career counselor at school. They are better able to tell you what type of work options are available to you with the degree you are working toward.

And lastly- why did you choose Eng. Lit and Lang? What was it that interested you enough to go into that field? Was is writing? Reading? Research? Publishing is an area you can look into- proofreading, editing, writing copy, etc...
