  1. sorry but just like the car he is

  2. If he's not covered. and was was cited for invalid registration or no insurance, then he'll just have to pay the fines.. Theres no way around it.

His drivers license may be suspended and he'll need an SR22 to get it back, If they know he had no insurance.

If the car was paid  off then thats a non issue, he'll just have to get another one.

    Good Luck

    Insurance Agent

  3. he'll have to pay out of pocket for damages to his car and for any property ie, light pole, street sign etc involved.

if nothing was destroyed or ruined in any way or if the car was paid for in full... nothing will happen, but he's out a car.

  4. I am sorry to hear about the loss. I have seen accidents like these happen sooo many times. Unfortunately, he has placed himself in a bad situation.

Their will be no compensation from the previous insurance.

His License could be suspended due to having no insurance at the time of the loss, causing him to need an SR-22 generally for 3 years after the reinstatement of his license.

He will need to report this accident to DMV, so that he complies with DMV Requirements of reporting an accident.

If he caused damage to anything else, besides the car. Your parents could still be liable since he is only 17.

Therefore, he basically needs to decide if it will be more benefitial to fix this vehicle, or total it, and obtain a new vehicle with INSURANCE :)

  5. He is out of luck. He will need to pay for the damages. You didn't mention the police being involved so I have to guess they were not.

  6. He is out of luck and in deep doo-doo.  He was getting insurance on the 11th but his old ins ran out on the 2nd ?  He is 17 and has a Daughter?  He forgot to register the car?  He is irresponsible and is one reason why Insurance rates are so high
