No issues with Ronaldinho at Milan, says Adriano Galliani
AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani has denied rumours that Ronaldinho is on a collision course with club hierarchy after the forward was benched for the match against Ajax last night. Ronaldinho has played all of Milan’s matches prior to the match against Ajax
and Coach Allegri has insisted the forward was left on the bench for tactical reasons.
Reports prior to the match suggested that Massimiliano Allegri wasn’t pleased with the Brazilian’s form. Also the fact that Ronaldinho’s inclusion in the squad makes Milan play a 4-3-3 formation; something the opposition has learned to counter now. Ronaldinho
has been criticised for his lack of work ethic. His reluctance to come back and help out in defence frequently leaves the full backs with too much to do.
In Ronaldinho’s absence, Milan scraped to a 1-1 draw at Ajax. Ronaldinho’s replacement, Robinho, had a disappointing outing. Robinho opted to shoot often, which left Zlatan Ibrahimovic frustrated and starved of service. The striker also missed a sitter in
the first half, shooting wide with only the keeper to beat.
Galliani has reassured the fans that the Brazilian would be back for the clash against Parma, “Ronaldinho has played in all the matches up till now and the world won’t come down if he doesn’t play in a single match. He will be back for the fixture against
Parma”.
Ronaldinho was a one man army at times last season. The Brazilian got on the score sheet 12 times, while also assisting in a further 16. His sensational form resulted in a third placed finish for the Rossoneri who relied heavily on their Talisman. With Robinho
short of match fitness and Pato struggling with never-ending injuries, Ronaldinho will be the main source of inspiration and Ibrahimovic win particularly will depend a lot on the Brazilian for service.
Rumours of a potential transfer away from San Siro have followed the Brazilian ever since he arrived two years ago. His benching added further fuel to a potential transfer to Turkish league. Ronnie is yet to hit top form this season, and he plays his best
when he is happy and Rossoneri fans will be hoping things get better for the forward.
