I got laid off about 1 year ago was collecting for 6 months still have not found a decent job to pay all bills and day care. My husband just finished his garage and will start painting cars for a living. Unemployment office told me I could start collecting again in July. I'm really thinking about going to this career institution for computer info technology full time (Pell grant will pay 1/2 which is $8000 I will owe $8500) . It will only take 11 months. I don't know if this is a good idea going to school full time while collecting unemployment and depending on a little extra money from my husband since he has just started I know It might take some time before he starts getting a lot of business...what should I do?

  1. That "career institute" is a private "for profit" school, designed to take your money.  Go to a community college and get a better degree at 1/10th the cost.  Your pell will pay for everything plus give you extra money for living expenses rather than slapping another 8,500 dollars.  No diploma mill should be allowed to do this.  Thats way too much money.
