To answer your question, you should be able to make some assessments first on your own like-

1.What is your budget?

2.What is the computer for? Is it a gaming pc or a used for basic pc operations(like encoding, surfing the net, desktop publishing etc).,..or business or work pc

3. Is security a big issue for you? Because it would require you some additional softwares you need to install.

Sometimes good and quality pc's are expensive. Including the software. Computer specs vary with your needs & budget.

For durability there is the panasonic tough book with rotating screen, resistant to accidental spills and drops. For inexpensive ones Asus e..pc is ok, and there are a lot to choose from ..Sony Vaio, Dell, Hp, Apple. It depends all to you and your needs.
