Whats up with ppl downgradign Troy Smith?!?

he was picked late in the draft, and yet he WON THE HEISMAN!!

I think the Ravens need to make Smith there starter!

I see something special in him. he reminds me alot of Steve Mcnair, but more mobile and a stronger arm. what do you guys think?

  1. ravens got a steal and i can really see him being the leader of that team in a couple years if they keep him

  2. i know every body hatin he the heisman winner and thats wrong did you ever see the game where he drives the ravens stright down field to a touchdown no problem he is awesome they just tryin to be mean

  3. he doesn't have size he is six foot he cant see over the pocket he just doesn't have the makings for a NFL starter

  4. i agree with you 100% the media has been ragging on him since he got into the league but like i've been saying he is going to be my surprise of this year he is one h**l of a QB everyone is saying he is too small to play in the NFL but he played in College just fine and those guys are the same size as the players in the NFL he's going to be the starter on that team without a doubt he wants to prove all the critics wrong he has a strong arm great scrambling ability and he puts the ball on a dime every time the only reason he was picked late in the draft is because of his size if he were 6"3 or 6"4 he would've been the #1 pick in the draft but he is going to prove everyone wrong this year look for him to play like he did for the Bucks because that man has alot of talent

  5. Dude wasn't even the best player on his team, but because he is the starting quarterback on the number one team he will get the nod..the heisman trophy voting is a joke and the trophy itself is becoming a joke. Vince Young anybody? If you want to base it on numbers alone, then Texas Tech and the quarterbacks would own the trophy. Back to Troy Smith..too small and overrated.

  6. Heisman trophy winners do not necessarily make a good players in the pro's. Rex Grossman(presently on the Bears) was a Heisman candidate. Matt Lienart(Cardinals), was a Heisman winner. While these guys are good players, the Heisman did not make them great. On the other hand Tom Brady was a 4th round pick for the Patriots. Maturity along with natural ability makes someone great.

  7. Heisman trophy winners don't always make it in the pros.  Look at Jason White who won the Heisman in 2003 when he played for the Oklahoma Sooners.  He entered the NFL draft in 2005 and wasn't even picked.  I do agree with you though about Troy Smith.  He is the best option they have at quarterback in Baltimore.  He started two games last year and threw 2 touchdowns and didn't throw a interception.  Troy will start this year and depending on how he develops they might just make him the face of the franchise instead of Flacco.

  8. The Heisman trophy means absolutely nothing in the pros.

  9. Another heisman flop.He was a bum and still is.
