No magic possible in 2011 season: Nico Rosberg
Mercedes GP driver, Nico Rosberg looks forward for a strong 2011 season for the team, although he believes that it will take some time for them to come back at the top of the tally.
Talking to the media on Wednesday, the young German said that he is optimistic for a strong performance by himself and teammate Michael Schumacher. However, he said that they might not be able to come back on the track and beat the frontrunners straight
away. However, he reckons that this will happen but in some time.
The team wrapped up the 2010 season at fourth place in the Constructors' Championship. Throughout the season, they strived hard but were not able to win even a single race. In 2009, the same squad, under the title of Brawn GP was able to win six out of the
first seven races of the season and at the end of the year it emerged to be the winner of both the  Drivers’ as well as the Constructors’ Championship.
On the other hand, team boss Ross Brawn decided by mid-2010 that the team has already lost both the championships and hence shifted all the attention towards development of 2011 car.
Since the team was the first one to start preparing its next year’s package, therefore, it is largely believed that it will put up a brilliant show. Rosberg believes that wonders must not be expected by them, but he assured his fans that next year would
be better than this one with a faster car and good form.
He explained, "The gap we are closing is of course fairy big. It will take time and I don't know how much. Perhaps at the beginning of next season we will be close. We will have to see, it is difficult to predict. What is definite is that we will look better
than this year."
While talking about the 70-point advantage he had this year over his teammate, Rosberg said, “I’m obviously happy that I was able to beat Michael. That was very important because you compare yourself with who is in the other car. On the other hand, I had
hoped for better results, but they will come - hopefully in the near future."
