With Amir Khan ending his association with ITV sport and the BBC's unwillingness to getting involved in boxing since being made a mug of by Audley Harrison does this mean Boxing on terrestrial TV is a thing of the past.

  1. well its not like Terrestrial TV was alive and kicking 4 or more years ago, theres a lot of rubbish on terrestrial tv these days....reality tv shows like 'big brother' ,  weird shows hosted by ant and dec,  every time you turn on the telly its a pair of worn out jaded celebs dancing on ice or on stage to some lame music or if its not that then its that prick simon cowel next to plastic surgery gone wrong sharon osbourne.

even in the mornings,  turn your tv on - its bollocks on tv,  like Jeremy Kyle or what not.

As for boxing,  well the best fights and fighters aren't british mate.  I thought you knew ?  You seriously telling me you've been going out of your way to follow Amir Khan ?

im a big boxing fan - the only boxing I watch is the middle-lighter weight divisions of US boxing, usualy on Setanta or prime time or other us channels.

When Naseem was knocking out blokes in his prime out here, I kept telling ppl he was an average boxer compared to what was out stateside. nobody believed me.

when i tell ppl that Amir Khan has a glass jaw or keeps getting hit too often,  they ignore me.

I think A.K is a classy boxer, I root for him each time - but i think once he takes on a good boxer who can land solid accurate blows on frequent basis,  he will be in trouble.  He hasn't fought anybody that can seriously trouble him in the ring and ask all the questions.

So sod terrestrial TV - you may as well just watch Jeremy Kyle on it instead mate,  its hopeless ranting and whining about boxing fights on Terrestrial tv.

  2. LOL, agree with you 100% about Audley. That cost the licence payers a load of money.

I would think it unlikely we will see much more boxing. The promoters got so greedy that they killed the golden goose.
