No more rotation policy for upcoming crucial games- Dhoni- Cricket News Update
With the Indian team being trapped in a do-or-die situation in the ongoing Commonwealth Bank tri-series, the highly debatable rotational policy finally seems to have been shelved, according to skipper, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MS-Dhoni-c2028.
The Indian captain has revealed their team’s strategy for the upcoming crucial games and has indicated that they are all set to play their three most senior personnel, starting from the match against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 on Sunday.
"We have three genuine, proper openers. I see no good reason why I should send in a pinch-hitter. All three score at a brisk pace, they are good at hitting boundaries as well as in taking singles. We are not looking to rotate. It's injuries which are now rotating the players. It's not in our control.” said the 30-year old veteran
It is to be noted that the rotational policy remained unproven for the pervious bouts where the youngsters have failed to shine and prove their mettle Down Under. Furthermore, the system has come under great scrutiny with former cricketers, including the likes of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ravishankar-Jayadritha-Shastri-c84254, all terming it as irrational.
"I don't know what is the logic behind this rotation policy and what exactly is Dhoni thinking,” said Bedi.
The rotational policy was applied on the three senior players of the team i.e. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/G-Gambhir-c1447. The reason, apart from grooming youngsters, further surrounded the agility of the trios, who were considered as slow fielders.
The whole saga has left the Men In Blue in a precarious situation, where, apart from the defeats, rumours of unrest in the dressing room also unfolded, with many pointing out the differences between Dhoni and Sehwag as the grey area hindering their overall progression as a unit.
However, Dhoni has denied any such reports and said that the atmosphere in the dressing room is normal, while adding that his comments about the rotational policy were taken in wrongly.
“If you listen to the press conference on tape, you would get the answer yourself as to what actually I said and what I meant," said Dhoni.
With the policy finally being put to rest, now only hard work can bring the team out of the current turmoil, as they look to win the remaining two matches.
