No need to request bilateral series with India anymore: Zaka Ashraf – Cricket News Update
The Pakistan Cricket Board’s chairman, Zaka Ashraf, has reconsidered the board’s stance on the resumption of bilateral series between the two nations, claiming that India’s reluctance makes any attempts on his part redundant.
Usually strained diplomatic relations between the two countries took a further downward turn following the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 (BCCI) has refused to consider
the possibility of a bilateral series with Pakistan.
The last series between the two countries was played in 2007-2008, when the Men In Green toured India for 5 ODIs and a Test series – both of which the host team won.
When http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ijaz-Butt-c64128 vacated the post last October, the revival of cricketing ties between the two nations remained high on the board’s agenda. The chairman even offered to send the Pakistan team to

tackling the in-form http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 team, did nothing more than aggravate the situation.
In wake of the continued silence on the BCCI’s part, the PCB chairman has decided to avoid any further talk of revival in the future.
“There’s no use of asking India any further,” Ashraf said. “Their board doesn’t want to play with us and that’s clearly understood.”
Similarly, Pakistan’s recent attempts to host Bangladesh for an international series have gone in vain. Negotiations seemed to be yielding results when a delegation from Bangladesh visited Pakistan and approved the security conditions
earlier this year. Later, however, the ICC stated that while the series would be officially endorsed, they would not be sending their match officials to Pakistan owing to security concerns.
The statement sparked hesitation in the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747 Cricket Board (BCB), who claimed that they would not be sending their team to Pakistan “if proper rules are not followed including allocation of match-referees and umpires by the
