  1. I don't see anything wrong with it.  If an educator misspelled the word road, I would not let them forget it for a long time either and might even go so far as to make as many people aware of it as the person who gave that answer choose to do.

  2. Nothing wrong with answer number 6.

  3. Well it was rude of her, but that's her/his opinion. What she/he said was nearly as rude as what the teacher said. Public schools do have to deal with the No Child Left Behind act, but they do not accept just anybody. There are plenty of teachers in this world, and my school won't accept many of them. A substitute I love wants to be hired, but the school is hesitant. It is basicaly someone angry at the government who wrote that answer.

  4. Well first of all, answer #6 was absolutely correct and just stated her opinion which is politically incorrect but spoken in "normal" words, it is absolutely true.

You should speak to your principal or to your parents about this matter. It is absolutely unacceptable the way your teacher expresses herself. I am a mother and I would not allow anyone talking to my kid like that.

  5. I agree.  Thank you for following up. /

  6. To clarify, you are saying that the 6th person (ThinkPin...)  to answer your question was out of line in some way? If so, no I don't think she/he was. Basically the writer is saying the teacher is out line, and additionally they feel that if you are in a public school it's not surprising. No child left behind did not do it's job and the state of public schools today is appalling, as evidenced by the letter the friend received from the High School Principal. He is attempting to spell road, but put rode. The point is the quality available in teachers is low, so she was not surprised by the problem you were having. The writer

agreed with you. I agree with the ThinkPin...I'm not angry just have a realistic view of the lack of education in America. If a child doesn't know basic Geography, or lacks basic grammar skills, then I say No child left behind, left some kids in the dust. I know a bit off point, but again nothing out of line, just opinions here, we are all allowed them.

  7. You ARE right.  No teacher should be talking to students like that.

Tell your parents and a school counselor, or principal.
