No one wears helmets?

Question

I've noticed that hardly anybody wears helmets while bicycling anymore in Ontario other than those who bike with the cars on the road. Is there a law anymore or what?

Also, has anyone ever been pulled over by the police for neglecting to wear a helmet? Just wondering who wears a helmet and who doesn't basically.

Well in australia it is conpolsry to wear a helmit if you are riding a bike and if you are cought with out one you will be fined $100. (personal experiance) I dont know about the laws in ontario.

Also i think that some of the reasons are, that it is a hassel to bring them every where and thay look a bit stupid.

But i think that thay are a verry inportant peice of equipment as it has stoped my head from splatering on the road a couple of times.

Well I don't wear a helmet (and I live in Ontario.) I don't think it's a law or a serious one. Me and my mom were riding our bikes right by a cop without our helmets..he couldn't care less.

I always wear a helmet. In fact, I have a collection of them, in various colors, so I can match the jersey I'm wearing. Helmets are part of your kit! If nobody wears helmets where you ride, it's an opportunity for you to lead by example.

well i don't live in Ontario but there is a law that says you legally have to wear a helmet but the cops don't strictly reinforce it
