  1. Time will tell, Tim will be missed.

  2. I agree. It is hard to replace a person like Tim Russert who was smart, thoughtful and a pleasing personality.  We will miss his simple analysis like the "Florida, Florida, Florida" on his memo board back in the 2000 election.  Could we see David Gregory, Chris Matthews or perhaps Paula Zahn filling this role?

Our thoughts and prayers are with Tim's family.

  3. I believe that David Gregory will replace him as anchor of Meet the Press. His show on MSNBC (Race to the White House) greatly resembles the panel episodes of MTP and he has a strong reporting style.

One of my favorite qualities of Russert was his ability to ask the tough questions and get answers. After watching David Gregory for a while, I think he has that same ability.

Gregory is also well connected in Washington because of his tenure as White House correspondent. He may have made some enemies, but conservatives and liberals respect him. If he were the host, Gregory could book some good guests.

  4. Sad. Did he die at work?!?

  5. Tom Brokaw..

  6. who ever isnt busy at nbc
