No one will let me use my 2 USA MasterCard debit cards in the UK. Why?

I'm visiting here near Belfast and my debit cards are not working. These are prepaid cards. I call the numbers on the back and they say I should be able to use them anywhere. They said I could buy online also, I can on USA sites, but not the UK.

Call up master card center in the UK, if there is one and ask.

Perhaps there is some clause that you missed when signing up for them? Then again mastercard is universal isn't it?

Perhaps the place you are trying to use them at, has a problem with mastercard usage. Check that out.

have you tryed calling your bank in the usa or the one in london

If you debit or credit card issue by visa or alto you can you in most of the world region.
