Question:

No penalties today from NASCAR for "MagnetGate"?

Penalties and fines are typically handed down on Tuesdays, especially for the lower series. What's your take on the delay? Will NASCAR lower the boom, or will it be a slap on the wrist?

  1. My thought on the delay may be because this is a short week with the trucks racing tomorrow, Nationwide Friday and Cup Saturday night. Their plate may just be fun right now. Its just a uneducated guess on my part.

  2. They should get a bigger penalty just for being stupid. You know how many ways you can alter accelerator travel? (let alone power output)  I just laugh thinking about it. They burned Carl Edwards and Martin Truex Jr. for a lot less. Lets' apply an idiot tax to this one. Magnets. Get fx@ckin' real!

  3. Maybe they are waiting on the test results to help determine how much of a horsepower advantage they were trying to cover up. I mean if they already had a restrictor plate on the car and  felt a need to place magnets under the pedal then they must have a sizable horsepower advantage they are trying to cover up.

They need to lower the boom. It's not like they were exploring the "gray areas"...!!! They were straight out  CHEATING...!!!

  4. Maybe NASCAR will let JGR get away with the "MagnetGate" penalty. lol

  5. All the whining from all of the Kyle fans. Plus Ricky Craven (Yahoo's sports writer) is a Busch lover. He probably heard all of the crying and  begged NASCAR to hold off. Or maybe they are going to let him keep on winning until the end of the season and then suspend him for the winter holidays..

  6. Maybe theyre trying to figure out how to destroy kylies season without hurting their image

god ill laugh out loud when they hit gibbs with whatever they hit him with

Wouldnt it be wonderful if they took a few wins away from the 18 car?

All i can say is     boo effin hoo kylie

  7. Didn't penalize them today...MEANS ONE THING TO ME.....they will make an example of JGR. If it was a smack on the wrist, they would have announced today. Looks like Mike Helton's going to bring the "BIG BAT" when they announce. Of course....just an opinion.

  8. richard said it, throw 'em out: http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/sports...

"Their (butt) needs to be kicked out of there. They're shiftless. They (NASCAR) just need to do something," Chevrolet team owner Richard Childress said of whoever tried to alter the test at JGR."

richard and i would never cheat, so i hope they slap a hefty fine on "the coach."

and miss "i miss my innocence", you should change your name to "lil miss naive" if you are believing all you read. i'm so mad at that rowdy kid i could burst sometimes, but even i know he didn't have anything to do with this. he wasn't even in the race.

  9. big d shutup no one cares wat u have to say and he was not hateing just asking a q to see if anyone knows anymore info witch i dont and this does have alot of affect on jgr even if joe didint do this himsellf witch i dont think he did there might be crew cheif suspentions

  10. maybe they dont know what to do since it doesnt even really matter they did it and they know Joe Gibbs is a very respectable person that will take care of it in house and Joe doesnt put up with any non sense he is a good christan man who i respect more then any other person in the sport so i may be biased but i even heard other owners saying its not all that big of a deal.....maybe understand the facts b4 u start hating

  11. To my understanding, it will be a slap on the wrist being that the magnets were'nt there during the race, only at post race inspection.  Since it didnt effect the performance of the car on the track, I dont forsee a points deduction and maybe only a $25K fine with some probations until the end of the year.

  12. Lol.."MagnetGate" that's kinda funny Lynn. Some people really do need to loosen up a bit.

Probably just waiting till tomorrow. It'll happen, as far as whether it's a slap on the wrist or a lowering of the boom, most likely somewhere in between.

And WOW!! Kyle gets smacked down on here even when he's innocent!! He wasn't even in that race!!

  13. look for them tomorrow

  14. I already answered this question. They will get a warning and be put on probation through the final thirteen races. That' all.

  15. It didn't give them a competitive advantage as it was after the race that it occurred so I think it will be a slap on the wrist and maybe probation.

  16. actually, i'd be surprised if they came out with the penalties before tomorrow. at least a few of the more recent penalties were handed down either late tuesday night or as late as wednesday night. i personally think making the teams wait for their penalties is nascar's version of "wait till you father gets home."
