No period and false test?

ok I got my period on the 24 of july I was do for my period the 20 of august I have a 28 day cycle I haven't seen my period in 3 days I took a hpt test and it was negative could I still be pregnant? I've been feeling bloated thinking I'm about to get my period and nothing.. I feel cramps,headaches,tiredness my husband says I'm pregnant cause he has that gut feeling in his stomach when you get like somthing is about to happened... The butterfly feeling. What should I do? I also have been getting a lot of white mucus discharge... I took the test in the morning actually this morning !!!! When should I take another test ? Is it better in the night time? Please help thank you yes I'm married and of age

  1. yes, some women take a while to get a positive result when they are infact pregnant, some women never get a positive hpt result, only blood. Your best bet is to get a blood test. call your doc and schedule one!

  2. Some people don't get a positive test until they're pretty late. That could be happening, and you sound like you have a lot of signs pointing to pregnancy. A doctor would probably tell you to wait another week to take a test. Morning is always the best time to take a test since that's when your hcg concentration is higher. Good luck to you.

  3. its not going to show on HPT anytime soon,if u want to know for sure then go to the Doctor first thing in the morning & get a blood test done.but the problem is even the Doctor might ask u to wait at least 7 days after ur missed period before taking any test.they say this becz it takes that long for the pregnancy harmone to show.i know this becz i went through the same thing last month & to be honest it kills u to wait!all the best to u,just try to stay calm & hope for the best.
