Had a period last month, very light hardly any flow but I had one. I havent been having s*x but I've gotten no period this month and it's ten days late. I am planning on scheduling a Dr.'s Appt. But I was wondering if there is anything else that could be causing my light or non-exsistent periods. I'm worried because I've always had one every month since I started, never been pregnant and nothing fels abnormal. I'm just not getting one? Any ideas as to what might be wrong?

  1. It depends,

If you have anaemia then it can be that.

  2. Light flow or no period causes of:

    - athletic activity or extreme exercise

    - anemia

    - hormonal imbalance

    - malnutrition

    - medications

    - fairly new to having periods

There is a health risk associated with taking the birth control pill. I don't recommend playing around with your hormones like that unless your doctor cannot regulate the situation naturally.

  3. Sometimes things like that just happen. It all depends on how old you are and how long you've had it for. I once went three months without it! Some teenagers take 'the pill' because they experience irregular periods. Its completely normal. I'd suggest going to your doctor and asking to go on the pill. Its not that big a deal you just take one small tablet everyday. Just incase i'd take a pregnancy test. Hope all works out! good luck!
