No polar ice the summer. They said for the first time in human history their that their is no polar ice. That north pole's ice may break apart completely. What do you think about that? How scary is that?

  1. thats what the whole global warming is about!!!  Al Gore is up on whats going on!!!  but people dnt wanna listen

  2. that its a lie.  There is of course still polar ice, just less of it.

  3. Nobody is saying that there will be no polar ice by the summer. All that is being said is that there is a 50/50 chance that the NORTH POLE will not have ice. Remember that just because there is no ice at the direct north pole, that doesn't mean there will be no ice surrounding it.

By the way, here is a link showing the current state of ice/snow in the northern hemisphere polar regions: http://www.natice.noaa.gov/pub/ims_gif/D...

  4. i think that's awful. i would have said that was impossible, but the rate at which the ice has been melting means that there's probably very little left...

the sad things is that instead of addressing the issues in that region people want rights to that section...to search for oil...to pollute some more and further speed up global warming.

the even sadder thing is that Africa produces one of the least amounts of emission gases but the effects are felt there more severely than in other places with significantly higher levels, life's just not fair
