Question:

No positive LH surge this month. What could that mean?

I have been tracking my ovulation for two months. The first month I used Accu Clear. I got a positive reading on CD15. I got an ultrasound about three months ago because of some pain I'd been having. The doc said it looked like I had a ruptured cyst on my right ovary. Unfortunately, my insurance didn't cover it, so I can't go back for their recommended check up. Hubby and I are TTC (for three months now). I am now on CD18 with no positive LH surge yet. I'm using First Response this month...However, the 2nd line is really dark, just not quite as dark as the reference line. Did I possibly grow another cyst this month instead of ovulating? I did have extreme pain on my right side last night. Why does this whole making a baby thing have to be so hard? Thanks so much!

  1. It could be another cyst. You could chart your temperature to double check ovulation. Beyond this there is not much more you could do unless you go back to the doctor.
