No power in sony stereo all fuses are ok?

Question

I have installed a sony cd player into my Vaux Vectra 2003 now there is no power and all the fuses are ok, any suggestions? My cd player works perfectly well as used in a previous car, please help!

make sure you are getting power to the power leads going into the radio and make sure you hooked up the battery/constant wire and the acc/ignition wire and the ground

Most likely you don't have the ACC wire connected correctly. Check the red cable with a multi-meter.  It should be hot when the car is on, but cold when the car is off.

the only thing i can think of is make sure that whatever ur grounding to is actually metal.  when i got my new car i put in the radio and couldnt get power either, then i realized what i had it grounded to was plastic that just looked like metal
