No red hue on Xbox360 when in HD, can anyone tell me why?

I am using the correct component cable (r/b/g) set to HD on an HDTV. It used to work fine, but all of a sudden the red hue doesn't come in. I thought the cables were bad so I purchased new and still didn't work. I then thought it could be my TV so I tried it on a friends HDTV with both cables and still did not work. Has anyone else had similar problem? Is there anyway to fix this without buying a new console?
