No relaxation in Barcelona as they face Ceuta - Part 2
Barcelona are going to be avoiding any slipups this time round as they do not want history to repeat itself. However, they would be confident because they have not lost a single away game this season and want to continue that record
since every team loves to win. Guardiola is going to be sending out his second team as they are going to face Ceuta at their home ground and the Spanish coach might change things a bit for this one - just like the match against Real Zaragoza when he played
three centre backs and sent out six midfielders with only David Villa up front.
As Barcelona are going to be involved in a lot of competitions, Guardiola has decided that he is going to send out a team that does not consist of players that are tired. The Spanish coach has left a number of players at home as
he is visiting Ceuta. Xavi Hernandez, Gabriel Milito, Victor Valdes, Daniel Alves, Gerard Pique, Sergio Busqets, Lionel Messi and David Villa are not going to be a part of this trip. Xavi and Milito are injured so they are not even going to train with the
squad that is going to be getting ready for the match against Sevilla on Saturday while the others are going to be training after a two day holiday.
With the top players missing out on the trip, Guardiola took the opportunity to take a few Barca B players with him. The young talented players are going to be a part of the first team when the Catalan giants face Ceuta at their
home ground. Guardiola has chosen his team wisely as all the players have already experienced playing with the first team.
The six youngsters that are going to be a part of the first team include the goalkeeper Mino who was given the opportunity to play against the Asian side Beijing along with Fontas, Marc Bartra, Dos Santos, Thiago Alcantara and
Nolito. As all the players have already been given the experience to play in the first team of Barcelona, there is one who simply stands out and he is Thiago. The youngster has featured in all of the last four games that the team has played and is the one
who has most amount of first team experience, whilst knowing exactly what to do while playing in the midfield.
Thiago is also a player who is going to succeed the midfield maestro Xavi Hernandez if the Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas does not make it to his “dream club.” That means that the team relies on him and expects him to shine. It
is obvious that this is the opportunity where he is going to be the “main man” and he is definitely going to give his best so that he can make it to the first team of the Catalan giants.
The Barcelona coach, Josep Pep Guardiola stated that it is the perfect game for the type of players that he is taking with him. He simply knows the potential of all the players and knows exactly what his opponents have to offer.
Guardiola was also a part of Barcelona when they visited Ceuta back in 2000/2001 but during that time he was a player. That night the Catalan giants turned out victorious as they won the game 0-3 to make it to the next round of the Spanish Cup.
