No relaxation in Barcelona as they face Ceuta - Part 3
The match that is going to take place in the home ground of Ceuta is being labelled as “the night of the stars.” It is true that not many Spanish stars are going to be a part of the Blaugrana but the match is still being labelled like that.
Ceuta at the moment are in very good form as they are playing in the second tire of the Spanish La Liga. They won 3-1 against Jaen over the weekend and that takes them to the seventh spot of their league which means that they are
only one point behind to get a place in the playoffs. The team’s biggest threat is Javi Navarro who has scored a lot of goals for the team and he is the only one helping them fight in the league.
The home team manager really respects Barcelona as a club and Joao de Deus has already told his team that they have a good opportunity to give a good account of themselves as they are going to be playing against one of
the best teams in the world. It is true that the Catalan giants are not taking their first team but they are famous for making great players in their youth academy and today is a chance where they can prove themselves by playing the right men at the right
time.
The question still remains that whether Josep Pep Guardiola will be able to work with so many new players in the team. Not all the players are able to perform like the Catalan giants perform under Guardiola. The team is famous
for its “tiki taka” football; we have already seen how the newly signed Argentinean player Javier Mascherano has not been able to adapt well with Barcelona’s style of play. It is obvious that not all players can perform the way the Catalan giants do and that
is the basic reason why they won six trophies in one season, because they are one of the best teams in the world. The Spanish side did exactly what Barcelona used to do and with a midfield mastermind Xavi Hernandez included in the squad, there were a lot of
simple passes floating around which left the opposition chasing shadows.
As Guardiola is going to be the coach of six new players tonight, will he be able to play them just the way he plays the first eleven of the Catalan side? There is obviously going to be no Lionel Messi to do wonders with the ball
nor there is going to be Andres Iniesta or Xavi Hernandez to provide the strikers with the killer ball. Guardiola is relying on young players and that is the sole reason why the match can be exciting as the opposition is going to play their best team against
Barcelona’s youth team players.
