I am a serv-tech and currently working on a Whirlpool washer,model#2DSLQ533JQ3,SERIAL#CR280402... Whenever i plugged it in i get a low sound which tells me that current is reaching the timer but that is all i get. What is wrong here?

By bypassing the timer and using the timer harness ,which wires could i use to turn on the timer and then start the wash cycle, rinse cycle and the spin cycle .?

  1. turn on the water, or clean the hose screens, remember your are the serv teck.  what? 1 day on job.

  2. Check the water level switch to ensure that power is there and going back to the hot and cold water solenoids.  Also check the lid switch.  If all those are working you probably got a bad timer.  The timer won't advance on it's own until the water level switch is satisfied.  That is where you can jump out to the water solenoids easiest.  Hope that helps.  Good luck and God Bless.
