No school but want a job?!!!?

Question

Summers almost here and i rly want a part time job.Im 16 n dont go 2 school cause my parents dont want me going 2 public school and i was homeschooled but my parents couldnt afford it (private school and religious beliefs) so i dont go 2 school But i dont want 2 waste my summer i wanna work Do i need a school permit still?Can i still work and apply places where ppl wont ask 4 school papers n stuff? Thank you!

okay you seriously need an education... for  a better job in the future you need at least a high school dipolma check if there are any independent studies school in your neighorhood

Whether or not you need a work permit at age 16 depends on what state you live in. But you have a bigger problem. In the current recession economy, even fully qualified laid-off adults are having a hard time finding jobs, and have just about absorbed most of the summer jobs that used to be filled by teenagers. The only way you will know for sure about employers who won't ask for school papers is by trial and error. Visit all the local fast food joints and see. You will probably have a better chance if you go in with a short haircut and clean preppy clothes, though. Just tell them you are looking for a summer job and can start right away. Also try gas stations and supermarkets (boxboy positions). You will need to finish school eventually for any kind of decent adult employment.
