No sew fleece blankets?

why do yu have to put out squares or each corners....? cant u just leave it how it is?

  1. It's not that you have to cut the corners out, but when you measure and cut your fringe correctly, the square corners will just fall out.  the first fringe on one side and the closest fringe on the side next to it will have a common point, so when you cut the fringe, the corner will fall out, as it is supposed to.


  2. If you do not cut the corners out, one side will have fringe longer than the side it corners with. It will also not make a nice looking corner either as it will not have a 90 degree angle.

    It's hard to explain but if you do it with a piece of paper or scrap fabric, you will see what happens if the corner is not removed.

    Here is a picture to show how the fabric looks with the squares removed. Now visualize tying one side and coming to the place where the square has been removed. You begin to tie that side and you will see it makes a nice corner when completed.
