I feel cheated. my partner refuses to have s*x whilst I am pregnant in fear of harming the baby. Mid wives have told him it's safe but it's a mental issue he has. I was wondering if there are any other ladies out there that have gone into labor without being induced and had no s*x during pregnancy.. So many woman are lucky to have had s*x which brought on lab our and I feel like I am being tortured here without even being able to give it ago.. I am very disappointed in my partner about this. He is able to make the baby but can't help it out!!!

  1. walk alot its something they say but it does work since your not having the s*x and if you can swim this will help bring on labor but remember every labor is different

  2. s*x doesn't always induce labor, and labor doesn't require s*x to induce it.

My husband and I didn't have s*x in the two days before I went into labor. I was WAY too grumpy!

  3. I think I would stop feeding him, stop doing his laundry and everything else! ; )

BTW - if you climax on your own, it still does some good, good luck!

  4. s*x helps, but you can also try the following:

    Jump on a trampoline

ride down a bumpy road in a car

or just wait, your baby will come when it's ready.

  5. s*x is good while pregnant it help you contract,i am a proven fact my husband did that twice, went right in labor 3 hrs later

  6. My mom has scared my husband into thinking he is pushing the baby back up everytime we have s*x which sucks because now he is on the "I don't want to hurt her, or give her any type of head trauma" kick.  I think I am the first to say this, and I am sorry if it is risque.  The hormone in s***n is good, but not always needed.  Also you don't always need a man to help you o****m (to release your ocytocin).  Unfortunately s*x isn't the saving grace for every woman.  Good Luck dear.

  7. well, if he doesnt want to harm your baby, and your almost due, then you should stick with NOT having s*x. :D

  8. lmao. I getting kinda pissed too. i am 39 weeks and 6 days. My boyfriend kindly keeps asking me for oral. We have been having s*x but now when it would really help me out... of course not. He has been too lazy to give me an o****m which will help labor, but also like an idiot decided to pull out earlier. Sometimes I wonder if he has listened to ONE thing that has been said about helping to induce labor.

  9. Last Wednesday I found out I was dilated to 1 and 50% effaced. Of course I got excited but my excitement was short lived when after asked what I could do to stimulate labor (s*x, walking, ect.), my Dr said this:'babies are like fruit on a tree, if they aren't ripe, it doesn't matter how hard you shake the tree, it isn't going to fall off.' Dang it!

  10. It is a myth that s*x helps start labor. Hope this makes you feel better. Here are some other things you can do while you are waiting for baby:

Your body will go into labor automatically when your baby is ready and your body is ready. Most healthy babies are born 10 days after the estimated due date. You do not need to do anything at all, your body will do everything for you in the proper time. Best wishes, Gail

  11. Men are idiots. "I don't want to bump the babies head" :\ that was my boyfriends excuse 2 weeks ago. I forced him to have s*x with me anyway though, took me awhile.

Spicy food and pineapples bring on labor too :o did for me. A nice big banzai burger from red robins :l yum yum

  12. It''s evolution.  Once you're pregnant, he's done his job.  He'll get frisky again after the kid pops out.

  13. The whole pregnancy?  He should have done some research.  You should feel cheated.

Generally, s*x is discouraged during the last 3-6 weeks of a typical pregnancy.  A lot of the discouragement is the lack of available positions that don't put excessive pressure on the womb.

    There's always masturbation.

  14. lol I am having the same problem! Sorry if this sounds creepo, but why don't you give it a go on your own? At least you having an O may help out a bit! Plus, the few times I did have s*x (2 times in the past 2 weeks..grr)

    it didn't do anything anyway...lol
