No shopping for Manchester United this month
Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has said that he is not in the market at the moment to bring in the reinforcements. United have usually not bought big in January transfer window and this time around, Ferguson will not be signing any one at all.
When quizzed about possible signings, the 69-year-old Scot was clear in his answer of “definitely not”.
There have been strong rumours linking Manchester United with Real Madrid's midfield ace, Lassana Diarra. The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 and Arsenal man has failed to hold down a regular starting role in the Real Madrid line up. It was reported that United had made
an £11m offer for the Frenchman.
Manchester United boss feels his squad is well equipped to challenge for the Premier League and Champions League titles in 2011. However, he has expressed his desire to loan out the exciting 19-year-old, Italian striker, Federico Macheda.
Having seen the likes of Danny Welbeck and Mame Biram Diouf make full use of their loan spells with Sunderland and Blackburn respectively, Sir Alex wants the Italian to gain some first team experience until the end of the season.

Sir Alex also confirmed that both Danny Welbeck and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mame-Biram-Diouf-c23302 will remain on loan until the end of the season.

Sir Alex told the media that he had a chat with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Federico-Macheda-c13475 and explained him the rewards he can reap from being on loan for the second half of the season.
"I had a chat with Federico and explained the Welbeck situation," said Ferguson. "It can pan out exactly the same for him. It would be the same thing, going to a club, getting that experience for six months and coming back to us a better player."
Sir Alex also did not sign any players in January 2010 and the two players he signed in January 2009 have already left the club. Zoran Tosic and Da Laet have both left for CSKA Moscow and Preston respectively.
