One day i was watching tv, the next day, there was no sound. I can get sound out of the FM/AM but no sound for the cable/DVD player. I have checked all the wires and connections and everything seems to be fine. This is a home theater system and is connected to a cable box and tv, with additional speakers.

Is it possible to have sound from the radio but not out of the DVD player even though its all one unit?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  1. ok you haved crossed a wired or you left it on and part of the engine burned up

unplug it and take it to best buy theyll fix it for free

  2. Although you have checked already the wirings, try to double check it. Someone might have criss crossed it by mistake. But then, the additional speakers might have caused the problem. Your Home theater system is designed for the particular speakers included in its package. Adding speakers could damage your sound system. I don't want to be techy, but your HT could not manage too much speakers because of overloading. Try removing the additional speakers, if nothing happens call a technician. Hope I've help ya!
