No sound from a sony stereo receiver.

Question

It worked fine last week. I took it apart because I was redoing the room. It was working, I shut it off disconnected everything and moved it. A week later I put it all abck together again.
when I turn the receiver on every thing lites up and the displays move showing signals but no sound from the speakers. I've change speakers with one's I know work and still no sound. Is there some swith or button I may havr accidently touch shutting off the sound. The mute button is offI've moved the speakers around to all the ports still no sound. Is there something you can suggest other than getting a new one.
