No sound on computer suddenly... Says no device found?

Hey the title pretty much explains it. I was deleting a lot of things or rather uninstalling things from my comp I may have accidentally deleted something important (regarding sound). Now I went to the Control Panel to see what was up and it says no sound device detected. Am I screwed? Please help?

You can do a system restore and that may bring it back.  Do a file recovery with some software.  Or you can have your computer do a system scan with devise manager and that may find it.  

You also could have deleted the driver and will need to find it.  Because I dont have enough information I am not sure which would fix the problem so you get options.  One or all of the fixes above could help you.  The easies is the system restore.  start=>accessoriers=>system tools=>restore system and read directions.
