No sound on my computer.

Question

Hello, I bought my computer approximately may 2007 and since downgrading from Windows Vista to windows XP I have no sound or any sound drivers. I looked up my computer on the U.S. website and they didn't even list my computer. I also looked on the U.K. version of the site where it did actually list my computer. I have downloaded the sound driver that it has told me to download but still no sound.

My computer is an E-machines E4216. The original operating system was Windows Vista Home Basic but it is now Windows XP I think it is Home Pack 2 although I am not 100% sure.

Please help it is driving me crazy not having any sound!
