No sound on virgin digital .. help needed.?

I have sound on analogue but when I switch to digital theres the muted speaker icon. ive switched everything off and back on and even tried a different av port but the icon is still there. ive even tried the mute on the remote so no its not that...i get a totally different looking muted speaker as well as the other. Does anyone know whether it can be digitals fault and not something ive done?

Sounds like the mute on the set top box is on. Your thinking its the tv mute but if you look in the settings menu on your virgin youll find it.
