No structural damage found in Los Angeles Dodgers’ Zack Greinke's sore elbow – MLB Update
Los Angeles Dodgers’ starter Zack Greinke might possibly start on Opening Day as reports revealed that no structural damage has been found in his sore right elbow.
"If you listen to Zack, he can pitch with this. This is nothing that bothered him, But ... as a player, it clears your mind when you know there's nothing you're going to hurt doing it," Los Angeles Dodgers’ manager Don Mattingly told the mediaabout Zack
Greinke’s current condition.
Mattingly added with more detail and told the media about his player’s condition, "I was in there the other day when he was throwing that bullpen, If that's a guy that's hurt – if that's somebody that had something serious going on, it'd be shocker."
Greinke played the last season with the Los Angeles Angels but signed as a free agent with the Los Angeles Dodgers during the offseason.
Currently Major League Spring Training is underway but Greinke is resting to gain more power in the regular season.
Last season, he achieved a good and consistent ERA of 3.48 along with 15-5, 200 strike-outs and 1.20 WHIP. Overall he carries good career ERA of 3.77 along with 91-78 win-loss, 1332 strike-outs and 1.25 WHIP.
Though Greinke is expected to play as the season starts, but according to different sports experts, even if Greinke does not play in the first week of the season, the Dodgers will remain offensive on the mound with some of the best starters in their line-up.
