Many of the hotels don't supply tea/coffee making facilities in their rooms. Is there a shop that I could buy a cheap kettle and would the room have an electrical socket I could plug it into. I can't take one with me as USA have different plugs to what I use.

  1. I have just read this afer discovering that there will be no kettle in my room at the luxor either as they want you to buy it from starbucks situated in the hotel which i wouldnt mind but I drink at least ten decaf coffees in a day at 5 dolllars a throw.  Notwithstading that  have you seen the size of this hotel and how long it would take me to go and get a coffee.

Thus I bought a new one yesterday from Asda (Walmart) for 5 pounds  It is small but adequte and I will be using an adapter.  I know airlines can be a little funny sometimes and ask if there are any electrical items in your bag thus the kettle is still sealed in the box, not opened with the receipt for proof of purchase attached to it.  i will just leave it in the room at the end of the week if i cant be bothered to bring it home with me.

It seems rather odd that a four star hotel would not have a hospitality tray but hey, we cant change that so I guess we have to use our common sense and take our own or purchase one when we get there as the other fok have mentioned.
