My computer got zapped by a power outage and I completely forgot about my "trial period" I joined to check out the Unlimited service, so I called to get refunded like all of the other trial offers I've ever tried and they outright refused! Yes it's my fault I didn't cancel but come on, **** happens, they can afford to give me back my year subscription cost and just charge me a month if they had to! So they SUCK, I've been an avid Yahoo user but they just screwed me- so s***w them! I don't even own an IPOD, the radio is good enough for me, I was just checking out what they offered. So be careful, they keep every penny they can get from you!

  1. I agree, you should get a refund.  That is not fair.

  2. Legally, they are in the right.

  3. That is the way they are.  You are in luck though.  Yahoo! is migrating with Rhapsody and you can get a partial refund if you don't migrate over.

Rhapsody is quite a bit more to use.  Here is a link and the part where they are telling you about the pro-rated refund.

Will you issue refunds for users who don’t transfer to Rhapsody?

Yes, if a subscriber does not transfer before the end of the transfer period, Yahoo! will issue a pro rata refund for any time remaining in their subscription once the service is terminated.
