No vegetarian cafeteria food

Question

At school the only thing they have daily that doesn't have meat is pizza and about twice a week a salad bar thats it. How can I get the lunch ladies to get more vegetarian food? Also bringing lunch is not an option.

Well you could change it... Because thats what me and my friends did.. we made a petition and stuff and we made the school change... now everyday they have one lunch line that only serves vegetatian food.. you could change it all... Its just up to you if you wanna... So talk to the school ask them if they could change, but you need good reasons and strong supporters...

There is no school that wouldn't allow students to bring their own lunch.  If it's not an option, that's your choice.

Same with my school. But we can bring our lunch. Just ask the administration if they could have more vegetarian food in the cafeteria.

I think you really should talk to the principal...thats what i did,it was  easy and it worked...we have salad everyday and those soy cheeseburgers(i dont eat them though)

LIke others have said start a petition.

Don't say "I'm a vegetarian and I want veggie food" say "My beliefs forbid me to eat meat, how are you going to accomodate my needs?"

You'll need to do some research and approach the school board. You'll also need to demonstrate that there is interest in vegetarian dishes. Since the cafeteria serves pizza (ew) you might be able to use the "more healthful choices" angle as well. Demonstrate that much of what they offer is high in fat, salt, etc and that vegetarian options are better overall in terms of health and value.

Another good option is to petition for bringing lunches. It seems totally ridiculous that you wouldn't be permitted to bring a lunch.

I have this same problem. Only at my school our pizza comes with meat, even our SALADS come with pieces of chicken we have to fish out! It is ridiculous how schools show no consideration to vegetarians! If I were you I would ask them and talk with them about a little change to the menu. Just ask for a salad option, and other vegetarian options every day. Like maybe they can serve a baked potato sometime..Just talk with them or the principal and be sure to include why having vegetarian options for lunch is important for you and other students. And if that doesn't work, get people to sign a petition. Just talk with the staff and work out some changes to the menu.

We started a petition for healthier food(for everyone it sounds better for most meat eaters and you'll get more vote that way). We got jamba juice and a local sub shop to come to our school daily!! If you start a petition for healthier food that will include your fruits and veggies hopefully and maybe a pb&j at my school they always had pb&j. Petitions work awesome and give it to your class president or your principal ask a teacher who you could give it to or a lunch lady, ask who is in charge of the cafeteria ordering the food?? We gave it to our principal. Oh and we got a snapple machine with a recycling bin for the glass bottles.
