I am having trouble playing most video files like mpeg and divx/xvid videos files. Only the sound plays, and the video is all black. This is regardless of the software i'm using, i've tried windows media player, vlc, k-lite and other players (all using up to date editions). However, I can play dvds but only through windows media player; the video is black but the sound plays if I use another program. I've noticed that after updating my display driver this problem appeared. But I can't roll back the display driver when I try to. Besides, I would like to retain my updated display driver because it gives correct resolution for my widescreen lcd (the old driver didn't have the correct resolution option). Can anyone help me?
