Noah not building bridges with Garnett
Joakim Noah seems, like many in the NBA, to have a problem with Kevin Garnett.
The normally calm and quiet Noah has come out and publically voiced his dislike for one of the game’s greatest players, despite the power forward formerly being one of his idols.
"Kevin Garnett will not - will not - get a Christmas gift from me, I don't like him,” Noah said Wednesday on "The Waddle & Silvy Show" on ESPN 1000.
The surprise is not that Noah does not like Garnett, many around the league dislike Boston’s power forward, but the fact that Noah has come out and voiced displeasure about another NBA player.
It’s not the first time Noah has talked about Garnett in public. During last season’s play-offs Noah called Garnett dirty following an altercation Garnett had with Quentin Richardson when the Celtics played the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Even though Noah doesn’t play for the Cavaliers he was clearly upset by Garnett’s actions prompting and outburst in which he called Garnett a "dirty player." Now Noah has gone even further.
"He's a very mean guy. Where's the love? None at all. Ugly, too."
"I had his poster in my room," Noah said. "I used to wear his jersey. And the truth is my rookie year, I was in admiration of this guy, and he kind of shut me down,” Noah said
"And he was very mean to me my rookie year. And he's only mean to the young guys and the [European players], for some reason. I don't know why, but that's who he doesn't like. He's not nice. I talk a lot of trash out there, but c'mon, be a little sensitive. Be sweet."
Noah will meet Garnett on December 3 when Chicago travel to Boston.
