Noble Silk to trouble Wildomar in 32Red.com Handicap at Lingfield
Back in Handicap Company, Wildomar looks very interesting in 32Red.com Handicap at Lingfield on Thursday. His latest effort in a muddling Listed event at Kempton might have flattered him, thus one should not trust him blindly in today’s class-4 contest.
On the other hand, Noble Silk is far more consistent, and seems good to tackle Wildomar.
Lucy Wadham’s charge has been performing well since the start of his career. After sharing the podium at Pontefract in July, the 3-year-old raised his game to secure the runner-up place at Newcastle the following month.
In September, the dashing gelding was mighty impressive. The audience at Lingfield saw him cruising to an easy 1-length triumph over Keeping Time in the Lingfieldpark.co.uk Median Auction Maiden Stakes. Under Paul Hanagan, he failed to take a fine start.
Not losing his determination, the 6-4 chance made great progress to lead a furlong before the wire.
Noble Silk was fascinating afterwards. An outstanding effort helped him secure the top rank with ridiculous ease. After opening his account in great fashion, the Fops-owned continued the great work, and ran well last time around.
He was nothing more than an unlucky loser earlier this month. He travelled nicely, but unfortunately missed the gold medal by a head’s distance. The son of Sir Percy looks more determined this time and, since Wildomar is not producing good results these
days, it should be a straightforward journey for him.
A total of eight horses have entered the meeting, hunting a prize of £4,075. The race will be held over a distance of one mile and four furlongs. The officials are due to kick off the proceedings at 15:30 GMT.
Apart from this pair, no one is expected to make an impact. Silken Thoughts has proved his worth on turf, having plenty to prove back on AW. Standpoint has no margin for error. Only one hundred percent will suffice in this contest.
Tartan Jura could make things tricky for the rivals, despite drop in distance. Follow The Flag is also looking to make an impact back up in distance. We wish the best of luck to all the horses.
