Nobody Wanted Me feels wanted after winning A1 race at Swindon
The unpredictability of greyhound racing is one of the many reasons why it has become such a popular draw over the years. While each 480m race at the Swindon Greyhound Stadium features
a favourite, it is often difficult to predict the results of any given race.
Nobody expected a win out of Nobody Wanted Me (5-2) in the A1 race held during an exciting afternoon race meeting, but she defied the odds and claimed the top spot. She started the race
wide from trap six, and always led the pack, never letting the lead fall out of her grasp. A terrific finish in 29.18 sealed the victory for her. Rockview Billy (5-1) placed second after bumping first. He completed the race 1¾ lengths behind the winner in
29.32.
Bookies Crash (4-1) held and early pace, and put up a very strong effort. He went on to finish third in 29.48, which was 2 lengths out of second place. Fourth place belonged to 9-4 favourite
Quivers Rogue. He bumped first, and lost 4¼ lengths as a result. He went on to finish the race in 29.82.
h**l Razor (7-1) bumped first en route to a fifth-place finish in 29.92, with a distance of 1¼ lengths separating him from the number four spot. Bringing up the rear was Captain Spot,
who bumped first and ended up a ½ length behind fifth place with his time of 29.96.
Calling Mame answered the call to victory in the A2 race that was held later on. After going wide from trap five, the 2-1 favourite soon led, and crossed the finish line first with a time
of 29.10. Cefn Rachel (5-2) moved slowly away from the pack, resulting in a loss of 3¼ lengths. She went on to finish the race in 29.36.
After holding an early pace, Nats Warrior (4-1) ended up in third place. His finishing time of 29.42 placed him ¾ lengths out of second place. Kilrush Mary (4-1) led early, but fell behind
soon afterward. She missed the top three by a neck’s length with her 29.44 finish.
Tisfreetodream (6-1) dreamt of a first-place finish, but it was not meant to be. He went wide and crowded first, finishing in fifth place with a time of 29.74, 3¾ lengths behind the fourth-place
finisher. The sixth and final position went to Castlelyons Soni (6-1), who also crowded first. He finished a single length behind Tisfreetodream in 29.82.
Greyhound racing at Swindon Greyhound Stadium is set to resume on Saturday 20 November. The action gets under way with an A3 race at 19:25.
