Konstantin Zyryanov has assured the fans of winning the upcoming Russian Premier League tie against Anzhi Makhachkala and commented on the summer transfer window
Zenit St. Petersburg will take on Anzhi Makhachkala in the latest round of Russian Premier League action at Makhachkala stadium on Sunday. The St. Petersburg club failed to claim all three points against Anzhi previously, when
the two sides played at Petrovsky stadium.
Zenit midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Konstantin-Zyryanov-c21312, has urged his side to win the upcoming tie in absence of key players due to injury. He assured the fans of 90 minutes of gruelling action, telling them that they always play to win irrespective
of how difficult are the opponent.
Points do not matter much to Zenit now, as they have confirmed themselves as the Russian Champions, last week. However, Anzhi are in desperate need of points as the Russian outfit might get UEFA Champions League’s qualification
this season.
Zyryanov, 34, revealed that it would be highly unfair at their part not to put enough effort in the last match of the season, urging his teammates to fight until the last minute of the match.
“I admit that this game will not help us climb up the table any further. But I think it’s one of the most important games in the history for Anzhi, who are still aiming to get Champions League’s qualification. However, we are professional
football players, who represent Zenit, and we do not like to lose.” The UEFA Cup winner was quoted as saying.
Commenting on the upcoming summer transfer window, the former Torpedo Moscow player went on to concede that the Meshki will be active in the transfer market after their head coach, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Luciano-c22574 Spalletti, confirmed about signing players,
earlier this week.
Zyryanov added that he is not afraid of competition among places, assuring the fans of working hard.
“As every football player, I don’t want to sit on the bench. I want to be involved in every game. I think the competition is good for the team. I think no team can grow without competition.” Zyryanov concluded.
