Nobody is embarrassed in the dressing room - Ravichandran Ashwin
Indian spinner http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 was not an embarrassment for his side as winning and losing are part of the game.
"Teams have to play, someone has to lose so nobody is embarrassed in the dressing room," said Ashwin speaking to the media reporters at the day end press conference on the first day of the fourth Test.
"We're all quite happy to keep coming out and keep trying again and again. Nobody is embarrassed, I'm very sure about that," he added further.
The Indian batting line-up has failed to counter the Australian pace attack throughout the series, which is evident by the batting collapses in the first three Test matches. At the end of day 1 of the fourth Test at the Adelaide Oval, Australia were nicely
placed at 335 for 3. The Indian team will have to bat out of their skin to have any chances of salvaging a win or a draw. Two of the three Australian wickets claimed on the first day went to Ashwin.
The Indians made a good start to the Test match, removing the first three Australian batsmen before lunch on Day 1. However, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 and at the end of the day’s play, Ponting was unbeaten on
137, while http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Clarke-c51120 was not-out on 140.
"I think it was really good batting by Ricky Ponting and Michael Clarke, they really took the game away from us in the second session," said the 25-year-old off-spinner.
India has already lost the four match Test series by losing the first three games of the series. They lost the first Test at Melbourne by 122 runs, before the Australians crushed them by an innings and 68 runs at Sydney and by an innings and 37 runs at Perth.
Ashwin said that since they have nothing to lose, they would go out and play their natural game.
"I think we have nothing to lose at this point in time," he said. "Being three-nil down gives us a bit of a license to go out and play our natural game which could be a real blessing in disguise for us,” he added further.
