In a lengthy interview, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 Football Federation president Noel Le Graet spoke about the uncertainty surrounding the future of national team manager Laurent Blanc
President of the French Football Federation, Noel Le Graet has many issues to deal with. However, the main issue that he will have to resolve quickly would be the future of national team manager Laurent Blanc.
The former World Cup winner’s contract expires when the European Championships end and till now, there are no signs of Blanc being offered a new contract. Reports claim that the former Bordeaux coach and Le Graet have a lot of differences which is the reason
why the FFF supremo wants to bring in a new manager regardless of the performance of Les Bleus in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ukraine-c3032 this summer.
However, Le Graet still denies that he has any differences with the coach and says that he will not look at Blanc’s contractual situation before the European Championships end. Graet says that he made a big mistake by announcing Blanc as the next France
manager three months before the 2010 World Cup and says that he won’t do that again.
“I will not make this mistake. I announced the signing of Laurent Blanc three months before the World Cup, it was a mistake. The coach must be the almighty and all the staff is responsible for the Euro.”
Le Graet also added that Blanc is a grown man and he does not need any help in order to hold discussions with me.
“I appreciate the behaviour of Lauren Blanc. There are no differences. But the will is to succeed in 2012. After that, we’ll see. I do not argue with Blanc. I am with Lauren Blanc, alone in discussions. Laurent is big enough to defend himself, he does that
quite well with his great personality.”
Certainly, the FFF supremo has won himself a few points by appreciating the fact that Blanc has maintained his dignity throughout the saga regarding his future at the club.
France will travel to Poland and Ukraine to play in the European Championships this summer and Noel le Graet has taken a wise step by not admitting the fact that he could be pursuing a new manager to replace the current one.
