Noh Seung-yul leads Golf Kolon Korea Open

The Kolon Korea Open has been delayed due to the bad weather conditions persisting on the course of Woo Jeong Hills Country Club.
The second round of event carrying a purse of $1 million was taking place in tight, amid conditions when the officials decided to call the event off. Heavy fog hovered on the course making it difficult for the players to take a shot. In
condition like these the South Korean teenager Noh Seung-yul shot a 4-under 67 and rose to the top of the leader-board to take the clubhouse lead.
The 19-year-old completed his first round today, as yesterday’s round got cancelled because of the persistent bad weather. He carded five birdies against one bogey to replicate his early score.
Noh has been dazzling in the current season because of his splendid performance throughout the session. Earlier, he won the Malaysia Open which was co-sanctioned by European and OneAsia tour. Moreover, he holds the highest spot on the Asian Tour Order of
Merit.
According to the media reports, half of the players had to abandon their game due to the weather. Now, they will take their turns to complete the second round. Noh, the second round leader told the press, "The reason I'm at the top of the leader board is
because I've only had two bogeys in two rounds, one today and one yesterday. That's the most important part of doing well here - limiting your dropped shots and picking up birdies where you can. I've made a lot of up-and-downs. I'm not sure if my short game
has improved or if it's just good this week."
The last round leader Kang Sung-hoon also shot a 4-under after 11 holes but was not able to complete the round along with Danny Lee who was 3-under after holes when the horn blew. Kang carded four birdies in the last round to take the clubhouse lead.
The three-time PGA Tour winner Anthony Kim shot a 79 and was one of the few players to complete the round. Owing to the weather conditions and the score that followed him, Kim has lost the cut in the next round.
