Dear, i bought quiet conformt 2 headphones from BOSE, i've been trying them on and off since yesterday, and im a bit confused and wanted to check if anyone else had the same problems, the batteries are fresh, but the problem is i dont know if these headphones work, the red light is on, i turn on and off the cancellation, i tried in my office, in the train, just in the house, it seems to work very little? there is almost no cut in the noise? the noise becomes a bit smoother... some noise seems eliminated but barely any, i sometimes turn the cancellation on and off and i can barely know in which state it is in, could the headphones be deffective? or is it simply this bad? please advice, otherwise i may have to call BOSE for a return..?

  1. they manufacture them that way for safety reasons. if they were 100% noise canceling then people couldn't hear sirens, smoke alarms, emergency knocks on doors, etc. and they would be subject to huge lawsuits. but yes, i have noticed the same thing.  they do not block out much more of the noise than an average headphone would.

    good luck!
