Noise and the law uk?

Hi there, we are a family of musicians and once a week we have a couple of friends around for a practice on a Tuesday night this never goes on past 10 pm. one of our neighbours has recently started complaining , how do we stand regarding the law ?

  1. 10pm on a week day is probably too late to be playing music, especially if your neighbours have to get up for work early the next morning. Try and be more considerate towards them, maybe you could switch your get together to the weekend, and stop the music around 8pm. That sounds more reasonable. Or try talking to your neighbour and ask if there is any time or day that suits them better. They may just be feeling a bit angry that you haven't even bothered to ask. :-)


  2. i thought myself it was no noise after 11pm... i think tht is so bad ppl complaining, you carry on playing ur music!
